USA Today Highlights Patty Tobin in Cover Story on Entrepreneurs

Appearing on the front page of the Money section in USA Today, the cover story, "Never Too Late to Start a Business: Older Americans Fan Entrepreneurial Spark," features an interview with jewelry designer and life-long entrepreneur, Patty Tobin. The article comes on the heels of the Kauffman Foundation's recently released Index of Entrepreneurial Activity, which found that Americans between the ages of 55 and 64 represented the second-largest jump in entrepreneurial activity in the U.S. from 2008-2009. Echoing the study's findings, Patty Tobin tells USA Today that her prior work experience as a marketing consultant and business owner was an important success factor in her current jewelry venture. Tobin's positive, never-give-up attitude resonates with the many small business owners across the country who have chosen to ramp up a new business at an age when many slow down.
